Adenocarcinoma prostático metastásico, a propósito de un caso

El adenocarcinoma prostático metastásico es una forma avanzada de cáncer de próstata que presenta complicacionesclínicassignificativas,especialmentecuandosediseminaalacolumnavertebralylavejiga.Esta progresión puede causar dolor intenso, pérdida de función neurológica y problemas urinarios. Este estudio revisa un caso de un paciente de 68 años con adenocarcinoma prostático metastásico que presentó síntomas como dolor lumbar, hematuria, impactación fecal y problemas neurológicos. Se realizaron estudios de imagen como Tomografía Axial Computarizada (TAC) y Resonancia Magnética (RMN), junto con biopsia e inmunohistoquímica, para confirmar el diagnóstico. El tratamiento incluyó radioterapia y bloqueo androgénico. El paciente desarrolló infiltración tumoral en T11 y tejidos blandos, y, aunque se ajustó la radioterapia, el PSA total siguió en aumento. Además, se identificó carcinoma urotelial metastásico en la vejiga. El manejo de estos casos requiere un enfoque multidisciplinario para controlar la expansión metastásica y sus efectos debilitantes.
